Bee Busy Helped Students Have A Great Summer

Greetings,

I would like to personally thank the community for their continued support as we strive to bring prevention services to those most in need. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that has been in business for almost15 years. Our community partners like the City of Houston Department of Health and Human Services and Bee Busy Wellness Center are an important part of our success.

This summer Bee Busy partnered with the Houston Parks and Recreation department to present a youth summit targeted to middle school students. We also held Rev It Up for HIV Awareness, a charity motorcycle ride; launched the “It’s Ok to be Me” initiative, encouraging positive self image; and many other activities reaching out to the community.

At Bee Busy, we continue to seek out new community partners and develop relationships to increase access to prevention education and treatment and care services. If you would like to support our efforts, please feel at liberty to contact me.

Over the summer, Bee Busy reached out to children from apartment complexes near the office to provide activities and learning opportunities. This two-week summer camp program included trips to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, Bee Busy Wellness Center and Space Center Houston. They even experienced an Astros game at Minute Maid Park. Each camper enjoyed learning new and exciting things. We honored all with special gifts, school supplies, backpacks and plenty of love!
