It’s Election Day, Go Vote!

District K, today’s the day—let’s make our voices heard! 🗳️ It’s Election Day, and your vote matters for our community’s future. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so grab your ID, check your polling location at VoteTexas.gov, and head out to vote! Bringing your voter registration certificate isn’t required, but it can make things easier if you have it.

Nearly 46% of the Harris County’s registered voters and 55% of Fort Bend County’s registered voters cast a ballot early in person or by mail. That’s more than the turnout in 2016, but not quite the numbers that were reached in 2020. As long as you’re registered to vote, you can vote at any polling location in your county on Election Day. There are 700 locations in Harris County and 83 locations in Fort Bend County.

  • Texas Handgun License (from DPS)
  • U.S. Military ID with photo

For Expired IDs:

Harris County Voting Machines
Now Print Paper Records

Harris County has upgraded its voting machines to the Verity Duo, which now prints a paper record of each ballot on a single sheet. This new system combines digital and print, enhancing both transparency and security.

How It Works:

  1. Choose your language (English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin).
  2. Make your choices on the touchscreen.
  3. Review your choices on the screen to ensure accuracy.
  4. Print your ballot.
  5. Insert the printed ballot into the scanner to cast your vote.
