Join PIF, the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and Texas State’s Small Producer’s Initiative for an educational and inspiring workshop that will explore a number of conservation practices suitable for small and urban farms. Strategies for water management, cover cropping and rebuilding soil organic matter, and identification of pollinators and beneficial insects will be covered – along with principles and practices for improving soil health in regenerative agricultural systems.
This workshop is part of an ongoing series hosted by the Small Producers Initiative of Texas State University and made possible by support from USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
The workshop will take place at Westbury Farm in Houston TX, managed by Plant It Forward. Directions and details will be sent out the week before the event. It is free and open to everyone, but enrollment is required to attend. Lunch will be provided.
