Alice Lee became Chief of Staff to Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones in January 2023. Since 2009, Alice was with Hawes Hill & Associates LLP and served as a partner for approximately the last 8 years. She served mainly as the executive director for the Southwest Management District. Alice previously served as Chief of Staff to Houston Council Members Martha Wong and Chris Bell and was the administrative coordinator for Mayor Pro-Tem Gordon Quan and Carol Alvarado until she retired from the City of Houston in September 2004. She and her husband Mark Lee have two adult children, Eric (age 25) and Katherine (age 24). In her spare time, Alice rescues cats and supports trap/neuter/release efforts.

Update on the Dr. ShannonWalker Neighborhood Library

The Dr. Shannon Walker Neighborhood Library, located at 5505 Belrose Drive, is expected to open this fall! To prepare for an efficient opening of our new library, the Houston Public Library will close the Morris Frank Express location on August 31, 2023.

Residents can visit nearby library locations in the interim at:

  • HPL Southwest Express Library, 6400 High Star Dr.; 3.9 miles distance
