Meet Liz Vallette, President, Plant it Forward Houston. Liz is a Houston-native with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector. She earned her engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served as an officer in the Army for six years. A deployment to Iraq and economic development work in Afghanistan gave her insight to the plight of refugees and the underlying causes of their forced migration. She advocates for soft/smart power-oriented foreign policy and for continuing America’s tradition of welcoming refugees. Having been an avid traveler, Liz loves that you can go around the world and back right here in Houston. Her favorite PIF crop is Christine’s red onions!

GULFTON HOUSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT STOREFRONT BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE Friday, August 5, 2022

The Gulfton HPD Storefront @ 6227 Southwest Freeway is asking for your help to prepare students with all the supplies they will need for the upcoming school year.  The goal is to serve 800 children in the area. No student should start off the year concerned with not having all the supplies they need to be successful.  

List of Supplies Needed:

Backpack, Markers , Crayons, Glue Sticks, Blue Pens, Black Pens, Pencil Erasers, Pencils, Pencil Sharpeners, Pencil Pouches, Scissors, Rulers, Spiral Notebooks, Compositon Notebooks, Reams of Paper, Color Paper, Folders, Highlighters, Index Cards, Post Its, Binders College Ruled, Tissues, Hand Sanitizer
