The Brays Oaks Livable Centers Study is holding its second public workshop “virtually” on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The link to access the meeting through the Microsoft Teams platform is listed.

Also, informational boards and written copies of a survey will be posted for review and comments Sept. 27 – Oct. 11 in the lobby atrium behind the building elevators at 10103 Fondren Rd., where the District office is located. The survey will also be distributed online.

The workshop presentation and materials will be available online soon after Thursday’s workshop.

The Livable Centers program is managed by the Houston-Galveston Area Council and is funded by the Texas Department of Transportation. The purpose of the program is to support communities in developing plans to create walkable, mixed-use communities that provide multi-modal transportation options, improve environmental quality, and promote economic development.

The virtual workshop will include a presentation of the Study’s draft recommendations for housing, the economy and transportation to help the community reach the goals of the Livable Centers program.

Please send any questions or comments about the workshop to Ben Brewer, executive director of the Brays Oaks Management District, [email protected], (210) 889-5815.
