Over the course of the summer, the Planning and Development Department hosted online public meetings and a public comment period to discuss the draft Vision Zero Action Plan. It is a strategy to end traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030 and reflects the Planning and Development Department’s coordination with multiple city Departments, partner agencies, and feedback from community members over the last year.

The initial rounds of feedback have been incorporated in the draft action plan, and now we are giving communities an additional opportunity to share their views on street safety in Houston.

From October 6 – October 20, we are asking for feedback on the revised draft actions that will be part of the Vision Zero Action Plan. People can review and comment at;

Any questions or comments can be directed to Lauren Grove, Transportation Planner in the Planning and Development Department.
