India House in collaboration with Houston Food bank will be distributing food every month to 400 needy families of the neighborhood through its mobile unit.
Starting: Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Time: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm (Volunteer from 1 hour to 4 hours)
Where: India House, 8888 West Bellfort Ave., Houston, TX 77031
What is Houston Food Bank Mobile Food Unit:
• Truck loaded with food pallets will be located at India House premises
• Food will be distributed twice every month (Check dates on our Website)
• 200 needy families will be provided food every time
Expectation from Volunteers:
• Helping in registration and other documentation
• Preparing food packages for distribution
• Loading and unloading of food pallets. Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
• Assisting families in loading food in their vehicles, if required
• Willing to come on weekdays/ Saturdays during morning hours.
