Dear District K Friends,
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s National Night Out! Your enthusiasm, support, and commitment to building a safer, stronger community were truly inspiring.
From block parties to neighborhood gatherings, it was incredible to see so many of you come together, meet your neighbors, and connect with local law enforcement. It’s these moments of unity that strengthen our bonds and make District K such a wonderful place to live.
Special recognition to Briargate as they brought back their NNO after several years. We had over 35 events scheduled throughout the district! We celebrated a 70th neighborhood anniversary in Willowbend, I even got to spend some time in the neighborhood I grew up in with my mom and dad. Mayor Whitmire and Chief Diaz came through District K, making a stop in Quail Run.
Together, we’re creating a community where safety, trust, and friendship thrive. Let’s continue to build on the relationships we’ve fostered and keep the positive momentum going. I’m excited about the future and proud to serve such an engaged and vibrant district. The DRT officers, constables, Hiram Clarke Storefront Association, Brays Oaks Management District and 5 Corners Management District helped to make NNO one for the history books this year.
Enjoy the pictures and let us know if you have any favorite captures we can share. Thank you again for your participation and for helping make this year’s National Night Out one of the best yet! Didi, Melvin, Joe, Barbara and I enjoyed every minute with each of you. Stay safe!
In service,
Martha |
