The Brays Oaks Management District was proud to welcome Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner (first row center in photo with several officers) to our National Night Out event Tuesday night (Oct. 3). To his right was Starla Turnbo, chair of the District’s public safety committee.
The chief’s presence helped symbolize the fact that the District’s cooperative work with HPD to keep the lid on crime is a front-and-center component of economic development in our area.
National Night Out is an annual event to strengthen community ties with law enforcement, but we encourage close cooperation between police and the public year-round. “See something? Say something!”
In the other photo, District board member George Nwanguma, left, greeted Commander Samanda Rubin, the new commander of HPD’s South Gessner patrol division, as District Executive Director Xavier Herrera served as emcee.
