S. Post Oak Toll Road-Proposed
Monday July 22nd at 7:00pm
4300 W. Bellfort – Willow Meadows Baptist Fellowship Hall
Gary Trietsch, Executive Director of the Harris County Toll Road Authority, will discuss the current ongoing study that was approved by Commissioners Court in 2018, he will also review what was proposed in the past for a toll road up S. Post Oak from 90 to 610. Nothing has been decided and this is strictly an informal informational meeting, the once completed study will give direction for next steps to be taken….if any. If further steps towards a toll road are deemed worth exploring, then HCTRA has said they will convene a formal presentation meeting and conduct an official public comment/community feedback period. That meeting could occur later this year or early next.
Obvious pros and cons exist, but from a BBA perspective we are concerned how this might improve or hamper overall drainage in the area and impacts to the Willow Waterhole/and or the Proposed Levitt Pavilion, currently slated to be located inside the basin just west of SPO.
Thanks again to Jeff Peters, who will be moderating the meeting, for his initiation in inviting HCTRA to engage the community…the invitation was warmly accepted!
