Partners from the angler, environmental/ conservation, business, and governmental communities have come together to improve a long-standing issue that impacts the health and quality of ecosystems in Houston’s bayou system. The result was the Inaugural Invasive Fish Round-Up & Carp-A-Thon Fishing Tournament that took place along the Brays Bayou watershed on Saturday, October 28th, 2017.
This second annual Invasive Fish Round-Up & Carp-A-Thon Fishing Tournament was hosted at the Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy’s and included fishing and other educational – demonstrations casting fly fishing tie off, food trucks, t-shirts; and raffle prizes for fishing competitors.
