The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced on April 26, 2016 that Texas storm victims, including those in the Houston area, will have until September 1, 2016 to file their returns and pay any taxes due following the disaster declaration for individual assistance issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Beyond Careers is a partner with The Internal Revenue Service -Stakeholder Partnerships, Education & Communication (IRS-SPEC) and provides free income tax preparation assistance with IRS-Certified tax preparers through our mobile Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site by offering these services to taxpayers who did not get their tax returns completed by April 15th or need an amended return.

Also, as a partner with the IRS Small Business/Self-Employed, Stakeholder Liaison, Field Operating Unit, we will provide Disaster Outreach information to the community at Houston Community College-West Loop Center and the Raindrop Turkish House.
