The ERJCC recently begun to provide a transportation service for older adults and are now extending that service free of charge during the month of June to adults of all ages who have been affected by the recent floods that live in zip codes 77025, 77035, 77036, 77071, 77096 and 77401. J Ride provides safe, reliable, non-emergency transportation for Jewish adults age 60 plus and special needs adults.
We will pick up the rider at their home and drive them to:
- medical appointments
- pharmacy to pick-up prescriptions
- personal care appointments
- grocery store
To qualify participants must:
- be at least 60 years of age
- reside within the following zip codes: 77025, 77035, 77036, 77071, 77096 and 77401
- be affiliated with a local Jewish organization
Reservations can be made at least 24 hours before an appointment (or up to 6 months in advance). The program is available Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is a fee for this service.
