If you are available to attend this important meeting with Rep Borris Miles on May 28, please do so.
Below is information provided by Mary Seymore from the office of Representative Borris Miles – District 146 regarding an environmental permit application near Willow Waterhole for a concrete plant . This location is adjacent to the Willow Waterhole Conservation Reserve and the site of the future Levitt Pavilion outdoor theater.
Our office has received a notification from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that Southern Crushed Concrete has applied for an air permit registration. They have applied to put a temporary concrete batch plant at 5001 Gasmer Dr., 77035, which is near the Willow Waterhole. They have said the plant would be in operation for 180 days.
Rep. Miles would like to invite you to a meeting of nearby civic clubs and groups to discuss what course of action, if any, to take in regards to this facility. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place, 5310 South Willow Drive, Houston TX 77035.
I have attached three documents. The public notice that our office received, a map of the location of the proposed plant and a copy of the permit application.
Please let us know if you plan to attend this meeting.
